Jeff Spencer Modernist Wire Sculpture 12

Subphlogogenic Thermals

Jeff Spencer was a physics major at Elon University, and his fascination with ambient temperature plasma and the wave mechanics of thermal and fluidic systems influenced much of his waveform ideology throughout the 1950s. Linewidth enhancement, leaky wave propagation, induction rings and loop dynamics dominated his theoretical thought-experiments at this time, and waveform coupling and phasing became his passion, leading him to experiment in the lab with Beat Frequency Oscillation, the foundation for his theoretical and practical engineering principles in his Quantum Crystal Radio applications in the 21st century.
