Why a gift to MAMA?
Charitable gifts to MAMA increase the reach of its mission. MAMA provides Free Saturday Morning Children's Art Classes and has for over two decades. It has done its part to bring art education to Northern California schools where the educational system could not. It has sparked the imagination of thousands of students with its TAP Tours (Travelling Art Program) on "Mummies, Myth and Magic," "When Dinosaurs Invented Flowers," "The Medieval Art of Illumination" and "The Martians Have Landed," bringing the hands-on experience so key to integrated learning. It has mounted hundreds of world class exhibits, held lectures, sponsored a children's poetry journal, exhibited and honored child artists .... all with an entirely volunteer staff! MAMA has been awarded the 2001 Excellence in Education Award and has received a grant to expand its Art Program to include Preschooler Artplay and Clayplay.
