Oil on canvas, 16" x 20". This portrait of Hirschfeld (Jan Zaremba) was an early "fusion" attempt to synthesize the elements and techniques Gold had employed as a Woodstock Impressionist and as an Abstract Expressionist of the Cedar Bar School in the 1950s.
