ClayPlay: Encounters with clay
Hands-on, creative playtime with clay for preschoolers, 3 to 5 years of age, to develop confidence, creativity and imagination.
|
Since clay sculpting comes naturally to all young children, it is the most excellent place to begin with early childhood art education.
ClayPlay I & II provide directed play spaces where children develop a special communication between hands, clay and their imaginations.
ClayPlay gives children a place for personal, self-expression, increased fine motor skills, and positive family co-creativity in a safe and imaginative environment.
ClayPlay I & ClayPlay II are held in Nevada City at The Superintendent of Schools building in The Fellerson Room at 10 am and 11:15 am respectively.
The classes are open to all children attending with a parent or caregiver.
Registration for a six week session is suggested as the classes do fill up. By calling 530-432-3080 or by e-mailing, artplay@mama.org, you can receive more information.
